The piece in short
This Tabriz comes from India and measures 140 × 604 cm. It covers approximately 8.46 m², or 4.6' × 19.8'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Materials and construction
Stated material: cotton warp. It is entirely hand-knotted. Pile height is given as 7-10mm.
Where it fits
A format for large rooms, with space for an entire seating arrangement.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². Knotting at this density allows detailed drawing and soft transitions between colours.
On the colourway
The stated colourway is blue / Türkis. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
Age and condition
Stated condition: new.
