Overview
This Tabriz comes from India and measures 178 × 240 cm. That is roughly 4.27 m² of floor, about 5.8' × 7.9'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
What it is made of
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. It is entirely hand-knotted. Pile height is given as 10-12mm.

The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
Colour and appearance
It is catalogued under red and orange. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
