About this rug
Hand-knotted in India: a Tabriz of 250 × 300 cm. It covers approximately 7.5 m², or 8.2' × 9.8'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Materials and construction
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. It is entirely hand-knotted. Pile height is given as 10-12mm.
Where it fits
The rug is rectangular. A large format for open-plan rooms or formal reception spaces.
Knot density and quality
The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
On the colourway
The stated colourway is Weiß / beige. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
