A Tabriz from India, measuring 254 × 308 cm. The covered area is about 7.82 m² (8.3' × 10.1'). Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Materials and construction
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. It is entirely hand-knotted. Pile height is given as 7-10mm.
Where it fits
The rug is rectangular. At this size the rug defines the room rather than accenting it.

The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
How it reads
The stated colourway is multicolour. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
