Hand-knotted in Iran: a Tabriz of 200 × 310 cm. That is roughly 6.2 m² of floor, about 6.6' × 10.2'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.

The pile is 100% Schurwolle mit Seide, on a warp of 100% cotton. Construction method: hand-knotted.

The rug is rectangular. Large enough to hold a full seating group.
Knot density and quality
The stated knot density is 500,000–599,999 knots/m². Very fine knotting of this kind takes many times the working hours and shows correspondingly precise pattern work.
Colour and appearance
The stated colourway is red and orange. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
