About this rug
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Tabriz of 201 × 294 cm. The covered area is about 5.91 m² (6.6' × 9.6'). Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Construction
Pile material is given as 100% new wool, warp as 100% cotton. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.
Format and use
The rug is rectangular. A size where sofa and armchairs can rest their front legs on the rug.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². This knot density balances pattern definition against hard-wearing construction.
On the colourway
Colour is recorded as red and orange. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
