About this rug
A Tabriz from Iran, measuring 203 × 305 cm. The covered area is about 6.19 m² (6.7' × 10'). Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
What it is made of
The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.
Size and placement
At this size it anchors a living room as the central surface.
Knot density and quality
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.
Colour and appearance
The stated colourway is red and orange. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
