Overview
This Tabriz comes from Iran and measures 203 × 307 cm. The covered area is about 6.23 m² (6.7' × 10.1'). Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Materials and construction
Pile material is given as 100% new wool, warp as 100% cotton. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.
Format and use
The rug is rectangular. Large enough to hold a full seating group.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.
