About this rug
A Tabriz from Iran, measuring 205 × 303 cm. The covered area is about 6.21 m² (6.7' × 9.9'). Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
What it is made of
The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. Construction method: hand-knotted.
Where it fits
Large enough to hold a full seating group.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². This knot density balances pattern definition against hard-wearing construction.
Colour and appearance
Colour is recorded as red and orange. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
