Overview
A Tabriz from Iran, measuring 250 × 250 cm. That is roughly 6.25 m² of floor, about 8.2' × 8.2'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Construction
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. It is entirely hand-knotted. Pile height is given as 5-7mm.
Format and use
The rug is round. Large enough to hold a full seating group.

The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
How it reads
The stated colourway is Weiß / beige. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
