Overview
A Tabriz from Iran, measuring 251 × 337 cm. The covered area is about 8.46 m² (8.2' × 11.1'). Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Construction
Pile material is given as 100% new wool, warp as 100% cotton. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.
Format and use
A large format for open-plan rooms or formal reception spaces.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.
On the colourway
It is catalogued under red and orange. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
