Overview
A Tabriz from Iran, measuring 285 × 203 cm. That is roughly 5.79 m² of floor, about 9.4' × 6.7'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Materials and construction
Construction: Handgesponnene Wolle in the pile over a cotton foundation. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Weight is given as ap. 18 kg.
