Overview
This Tabriz comes from Iran and measures 50 × 294 cm. The covered area is about 1.47 m² (1.6' × 9.6'). Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.

The pile is 100% Schurwolle mit Seide, on a warp of 100% cotton. Construction method: hand-knotted.

A format for a smaller room, or the area directly in front of a sofa.
Knot density and quality
The stated knot density is 500,000–599,999 knots/m². Very fine knotting of this kind takes many times the working hours and shows correspondingly precise pattern work.

It is catalogued under Weiß / beige. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
