A Tabriz from Iran, measuring 63 × 95 cm. That is roughly 0.6 m² of floor, about 2.1' × 3.1'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.

The pile is 100% Schurwolle mit Seide, on a warp of 100% cotton. It is entirely hand-knotted.

The rug is rectangular. Small enough to sit in front of a dresser or just inside a door.

The stated knot density is 500,000–599,999 knots/m². Very fine knotting of this kind takes many times the working hours and shows correspondingly precise pattern work.
