This Tabriz comes from India and measures 301 × 400 cm. It covers approximately 12.04 m², or 9.9' × 13.1'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
What it is made of
The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. Construction method: hand-knotted.
Format and use
The rug is rectangular. A format for large rooms, with space for an entire seating arrangement.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
