Overview
A Tabriz from Iran, measuring 200 × 302 cm. The covered area is about 6.04 m² (6.6' × 9.9'). Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Materials and construction
The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. Construction method: hand-knotted.
Format and use
The rug is rectangular. Large enough to hold a full seating group.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.
