Overview
This Tabriz comes from Iran and measures 201 × 286 cm. That is roughly 5.75 m² of floor, about 6.6' × 9.4'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Construction
The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. Construction method: hand-knotted.
Size and placement
The rug is rectangular. Large enough to hold a full seating group.
Knot density and quality
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². This knot density balances pattern definition against hard-wearing construction.
How it reads
Colour is recorded as red and orange. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
