The piece in short
Origin Iran, format 203 × 300 cm — a Tabriz made entirely by hand. It covers approximately 6.09 m², or 6.7' × 9.8'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Materials and construction
The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.
Where it fits
A size where sofa and armchairs can rest their front legs on the rug.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². This knot density balances pattern definition against hard-wearing construction.
How it reads
It is catalogued under red and orange. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
