About this rug
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Tabriz of 245 × 355 cm. That is roughly 8.7 m² of floor, about 8' × 11.6'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Construction
Construction: 100% Schurwolle mit Seide in the pile over a 100% silk foundation. It is entirely hand-knotted.

The rug is rectangular. A large format for open-plan rooms or formal reception spaces.

The stated knot density is 500,000–599,999 knots/m². A knot count at this level belongs to the upper quality class of handmade rugs.
Colour and appearance
Colour is recorded as Weiß / beige. Silk takes light differently from wool, so the same area can look pale from one side and deep from the other.
