Overview
Origin Iran, format 251 × 342 cm — a Tabriz made entirely by hand. The covered area is about 8.58 m² (8.2' × 11.2'). Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Materials and construction
The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. It is entirely hand-knotted.
Size and placement
A large format for open-plan rooms or formal reception spaces.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². This knot density balances pattern definition against hard-wearing construction.
On the colourway
Colour is recorded as red and orange. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
