About this rug
Origin Iran, format 67 × 50 cm — a Tabriz made entirely by hand. The covered area is about 0.34 m² (2.2' × 1.6'). Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.

Construction: wool, silk in the pile over a cotton foundation. Construction method: hand-knotted. Weight is given as ap. 2 kg.
