About this rug
This Tabriz comes from Iran and measures 75 × 125 cm. The covered area is about 0.94 m² (2.5' × 4.1'). Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Materials and construction
The pile is 100% Schurwolle mit Seide, on a warp of 100% cotton. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.

The rug is rectangular. Small enough to sit in front of a dresser or just inside a door.

The stated knot density is 500,000–599,999 knots/m². Very fine knotting of this kind takes many times the working hours and shows correspondingly precise pattern work.
