Origin Iran, format 87 × 56 cm — a Tabriz made entirely by hand. That is roughly 0.49 m² of floor, about 2.9' × 1.8'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Construction
The pile is wool, on a warp of cotton. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Weight is given as ap. 4 kg.
