About this rug
Hand-woven in Afghanistan: a Kilim of 206 × 293 cm. The covered area is about 6.04 m² (6.8' × 9.6').
What it is made of
The weave is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. Construction method: hand-woven.
Where it fits
At this size it anchors a living room as the central surface.
How it is made
Woven pieces of this kind are thin, reversible, and much lighter than knotted rugs.
Colour and appearance
Colour is recorded as red and orange. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
