The piece in short
A Tabriz from Iran, measuring 314 × 200 cm. It covers approximately 6.28 m², or 10.3' × 6.6'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Construction
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool, silk. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as 1 cm.

The rug is rectangular. At this size it anchors a living room as the central surface.
