Overview
This Heriz comes from Iran and measures 249 × 355 cm. That is roughly 8.84 m² of floor, about 8.2' × 11.6'. Heriz rugs usually carry a bold, angular central medallion.
What it is made of
The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.
Size and placement
A format for large rooms, with space for an entire seating arrangement.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.
On the colourway
The stated colourway is red and orange. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
