About this rug
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Isfahan of 110 × 170 cm. That is roughly 1.87 m² of floor, about 3.6' × 5.6'. Isfahan has stood for exceptionally fine knotting for centuries.
What it is made of
The pile is 100% Schurwolle mit Seide, on a warp of 100% silk. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.
Size and placement
The rug is rectangular. The format suits the space in front of a sofa, a small dining table, or a study.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 800,000–899,999 knots/m². Very fine knotting of this kind takes many times the working hours and shows correspondingly precise pattern work.
How it reads
Colour is recorded as multicolour. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
