About this rug
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Isfahan of 130 × 200 cm. The covered area is about 2.6 m² (4.3' × 6.6'). Isfahan has stood for exceptionally fine knotting for centuries.
What it is made of
Pile material is given as 100% Schurwolle mit Seide, warp as 100% silk. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.
Format and use
The rug is rectangular. A format for a smaller room, or the area directly in front of a sofa.
Knot density and quality
The stated knot density is 800,000–899,999 knots/m². Very fine knotting of this kind takes many times the working hours and shows correspondingly precise pattern work.
How it reads
It is catalogued under Weiß / beige. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
