Overview
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Isfahan of 256 × 366 cm. It covers approximately 9.37 m², or 8.4' × 12'. Isfahan has stood for exceptionally fine knotting for centuries.
Materials and construction
Construction: 100% new wool in the pile over a 100% cotton foundation. Construction method: hand-knotted.
Where it fits
The rug is rectangular. At this size the rug defines the room rather than accenting it.
Knot density and quality
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.
On the colourway
Colour is recorded as red and orange. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
