Origin Iran, format 250 × 360 cm — a Kashan made entirely by hand. It covers approximately 9 m², or 8.2' × 11.8'.

Materials and construction

Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as 5-7mm.

Where it fits

The rug is rectangular. A format for large rooms, with space for an entire seating arrangement.

Knot density and quality

The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
