The piece in short
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Kashmar of 200 × 200 cm. The covered area is about 4 m² (6.6' × 6.6'). Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.
Materials and construction
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. It is entirely hand-knotted. Pile height is given as Hochflor.
Size and placement
The rug is round. At this size it anchors a living room as the central surface.
Colour and appearance
Colour is recorded as blue / Türkis. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
Age and condition
Stated condition: 21st century.
