Overview
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Kashmar of 287 × 195 cm. That is roughly 5.6 m² of floor, about 9.4' × 6.4'. Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.
Construction
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as Hochflor.
Format and use
The rug is rectangular. At this size it anchors a living room as the central surface.
How it reads
Colour is recorded as blue / Türkis. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
