Origin Iran, format 433 × 517 cm — a Kilim made entirely by hand. The covered area is about 22.39 m² (14.2' × 17').

Construction

Weft material is given as 100% new wool, warp as 100% cotton. The rug was hand-woven throughout.

Where it fits

The rug is square. A format for large rooms, with space for an entire seating arrangement.

Weave

Because it is woven rather than knotted, the structure is flat and usable on both sides.

On the colourway

Colour is recorded as red and orange. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
