Overview
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Moud of 292 × 400 cm. That is roughly 11.68 m² of floor, about 9.6' × 13.1'. Moud rugs are known for their fine Herati pattern.
What it is made of
The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.
Size and placement
The rug is rectangular. At this size the rug defines the room rather than accenting it.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
How it reads
Colour is recorded as multicolour, Weiß / beige. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
