Overview
Origin Iran, format 58 × 88 cm — a Moud made entirely by hand. It covers approximately 0.51 m², or 1.9' × 2.9'. Moud rugs are known for their fine Herati pattern.
What it is made of
The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.
Format and use
At this size it works as an entryway mat or a bedside rug.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². This knot density balances pattern definition against hard-wearing construction.
Colour and appearance
It is catalogued under red and orange. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
