About this rug
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Nain of 138 × 210 cm. That is roughly 2.9 m² of floor, about 4.5' × 6.9'. Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.
Materials and construction
The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. It is entirely hand-knotted.
Size and placement
A format for a smaller room, or the area directly in front of a sofa.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 500,000–599,999 knots/m². Very fine knotting of this kind takes many times the working hours and shows correspondingly precise pattern work.
Colour and appearance
Colour is recorded as Weiß / beige. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
