About this rug
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Nain of 213 × 251 cm. It covers approximately 5.35 m², or 7' × 8.2'. Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.
Materials and construction
The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. It is entirely hand-knotted.
Size and placement
The rug is square. A size where sofa and armchairs can rest their front legs on the rug.
Knot density and quality
The stated knot density is 900,000–999,999 knots/m². Very fine knotting of this kind takes many times the working hours and shows correspondingly precise pattern work.
On the colourway
It is catalogued under blue / Türkis. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
