About this rug
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Nain of 216 × 209 cm. That is roughly 4.51 m² of floor, about 7.1' × 6.9'. Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.
Materials and construction
Construction: 100% new wool in the pile over a 100% cotton foundation. It is entirely hand-knotted.
Format and use
The rug is square. Large enough to hold a full seating group.
Knot density and quality
The stated knot density is 500,000–599,999 knots/m². Very fine knotting of this kind takes many times the working hours and shows correspondingly precise pattern work.
How it reads
The stated colourway is black and grey. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
