Hand-knotted in Iran: a Nain of 255 × 347 cm. The covered area is about 8.85 m² (8.4' × 11.4'). Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.

The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. Construction method: hand-knotted.

Format and use

The rug is rectangular. A format for large rooms, with space for an entire seating arrangement.

Knot density and quality

The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.

How it reads

Colour is recorded as blue / Türkis. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
