About this rug
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Nain of 257 × 368 cm. It covers approximately 9.46 m², or 8.4' × 12.1'. Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.
Materials and construction
The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. It is entirely hand-knotted.
Format and use
The rug is rectangular. A format for large rooms, with space for an entire seating arrangement.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 900,000–999,999 knots/m². Very fine knotting of this kind takes many times the working hours and shows correspondingly precise pattern work.
How it reads
Colour is recorded as blue / Türkis. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
