The piece in short
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Nain of 260 × 315 cm. That is roughly 8.19 m² of floor, about 8.5' × 10.3'. Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.
What it is made of
Construction: 100% new wool in the pile over a 100% cotton foundation. It is entirely hand-knotted.
Where it fits
The rug is rectangular. A large format for open-plan rooms or formal reception spaces.
Knot density and quality
The stated knot density is 900,000–999,999 knots/m². Very fine knotting of this kind takes many times the working hours and shows correspondingly precise pattern work.
Colour and appearance
The stated colourway is blue / Türkis. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
