Overview
Origin Iran, format 153 × 315 cm — a Sarouk made entirely by hand. The covered area is about 4.82 m² (5' × 10.3'). Sarouk rugs are known for dense knotting and floral motifs.
What it is made of
The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. It is entirely hand-knotted.
Where it fits
A size where sofa and armchairs can rest their front legs on the rug.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.
How it reads
It is catalogued under multicolour. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
