About this rug
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Sarouk of 298 × 413 cm. That is roughly 12.31 m² of floor, about 9.8' × 13.5'. Sarouk rugs are known for dense knotting and floral motifs.
Materials and construction
The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.
Format and use
The rug is rectangular. At this size the rug defines the room rather than accenting it.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.
How it reads
It is catalogued under blue / Türkis. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
