About this rug
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Moud of 300 × 205 cm. That is roughly 6.15 m² of floor, about 9.8' × 6.7'. Moud rugs are known for their fine Herati pattern.
Materials and construction
Stated material: cotton warp, silk. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.
Size and placement
The rug is rectangular. Large enough to hold a full seating group.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
How it reads
The stated colourway is multicolour. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
