About this rug
This Tabriz comes from India and measures 196 × 251 cm. That is roughly 4.92 m² of floor, about 6.4' × 8.2'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
What it is made of
Stated material: cotton warp. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as 7-10mm.

The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
