Origin India, format 197 × 290 cm — a Tabriz made entirely by hand. The covered area is about 5.71 m² (6.5' × 9.5'). Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.

Construction

Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. It is entirely hand-knotted. Pile height is given as 10-12mm.

The rug is rectangular. A size where sofa and armchairs can rest their front legs on the rug.

The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
