The piece in short
This Tabriz comes from India and measures 201 × 247 cm. It covers approximately 4.96 m², or 6.6' × 8.1'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Construction
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as 10-12mm.

The rug is rectangular. A size where sofa and armchairs can rest their front legs on the rug.

The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
How it reads
The stated colourway is red and orange. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
