Hand-knotted in India: a Tabriz of 298 × 397 cm. It covers approximately 11.83 m², or 9.8' × 13'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Construction
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. It is entirely hand-knotted. Pile height is given as 5-7mm.
Where it fits
The rug is rectangular. A large format for open-plan rooms or formal reception spaces.
Knot density and quality
The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². Knotting at this density allows detailed drawing and soft transitions between colours.
