The piece in short
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Tabriz of 201 × 293 cm. That is roughly 5.89 m² of floor, about 6.6' × 9.6'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
What it is made of
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as 7-10mm.
Where it fits
At this size it anchors a living room as the central surface.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.
Colour and appearance
Colour is recorded as red and orange. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
