Origin Iran, format 203 × 300 cm — a Tabriz made entirely by hand. The covered area is about 6.09 m² (6.7' × 9.8'). Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.

Materials and construction

The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. It is entirely hand-knotted.

Knot density and quality

The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.

Colour and appearance

Colour is recorded as red and orange. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
